It is situated at 63-57, Corso Italia, right on the corner of Via Mazzini.
The Bostolis were one of the richest families in Arezzo and played an important role in the XIIIth and XIVth century poltical life of the town. In fact they were leaders of the Guelf faction together with the Camaianis and Albergottis.
The building, which was first built in the XIIIth century, has been thoroughly altered and restored over the centuries. You can easily recognize it , there's now a good and nice Café called 'Carraturo' which was instead a well renown grocery until the 80's. A Medieval legend says that St. Donato, the patron saint of Arezzo, was beheaded here. Even if there is no historical evidence for it, this family liked to boast of it in order to become more famous and mighty.
