Palazzo degli Albergotti

It is situated at 4, Corso Italia.
Palazzo
Albergotti was
the building of one of the oldest and noblest
families in Arezzo. It is located on
the corner between Corso Italia and Via degli Albergotti. It was built in the
XIIIth century but it underwent several changes in structure until
the XVIth century when it was handed over to the Bacci's, another
outstanding family in town, and later to other families. In 1901 it was bought
by a local bank, 'The Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze', which financed its
restoration and had it adorned with
decorations by Galileo Chini, a very good decorator of the time. Since 1954 it
has been the seat of the Record Office.
