This tower seems to have belonged to the near Palazzo Camaiani (one of the many buildings this family had in town). It was built in 1351 and has the same name as a tower in Florence. During the Fascism it was made higher, like other medieval towers, as every Fascist building was to have a tower. At that time it was called Torre del Littorio (Fascist Tower).
